The publication includes some writing by independent curator, historian and writer Ian Massey and features works from Crowthers’ recent exhibition ‘I’ll Drive’ at New Art Projects, alongside some of his previous work.
Crowther has made a good reputation for portraits and in 2009 he was included in Discerning Eye, at Mall Galleries London. He was well represented at the National Portrait Gallery 150th anniversary in 2006, and again in The National Portrait Gallery BP Portrait Prize (catalogue cover) in 2004, His work is included in “500 Portraits” – published NPG author Sandy Nairne 2011.
